Postcards
Description:
View looking east, with the Brant Inn on the right , on the south or Lakeshore, side of Lakeshore Road. Gar Darroch: "The car in the foreground appears to be a '26 or '27 Dodge. They had disc wheels which were a short-lived feature because they created a significant increase in 'unsprung weight' suspension systems. Body structures wore out rapidly as a consequence, and the heavy disc wheels became a footnote in the automobile's evolution."
Notes:
This was the Annex built in "Dutch barn" style by A. B. Coleman, after the original Brant Inn Country Club was destroyed by fire in 1925.
